Everthing You Should Know About Glass Washers

Author: Shaun Parker

Glass washers are designed to deliver sparkling clean glasses every time. The most common type of glasswashers are compact high performance glass washers that are simple to use, with push button operation and robust electric controls that allow ease of use. Most glasswashers are highly reliable if used correctly and should come supplied complete with either a 1 or 2 Years Parts and Labour warranty to give you peace of mind, so if in the event of a breakdown you will have the peace of mind that an engineer will attend your machine and fix or repair in a timely fashion. If you run a pub, club or restaurant I don't need to tell you how important it is to have the right glasswasher. A reputable supplier should be able to advise you on the best glasswasher once you have discussed a little about your business. A very important factor to consider when choosing your Glass Washer is how many glasses you wish to wash during one cleaning cycle of your glasswasher because if you chooses a Glass Washer that doesn't wash enough glasses in one cycle you will be in a situation where you are unable to serve customers their drinks due to lack of clean glasses. So before purchasing your glass washer have a look at the different basket sizes available with the different glasswashers on the market as there is a very large selection available, ranging from a 340mm basket size which will hold up to 12 pint glasses at one time up to a 500mm basket that will accommodate up to 30 pint glasses at one time. Also another very important point to consider when choosing your glasswasher is whether or not you require a drain pump version glasswasher or a gravity drain version machine. This is important due to the large amount of water that drains away during a rinse cycle, if your drainage waste pipe is too close to the unit's drainage outlet or the drainage pipes are not wide enough then you may encounter a problem if the water from your glasswasher cannot drain away as this will cause your glasswasher to stop working during its rinse cycle. Most glasswashers come supplied with two baskets to allow one set of glasses to be washed whilst another set of glasses is ready and waiting to be washed as soon as the previous glasses have been washed. Most Glasswashers will have an integral glass wash detergent pump that will feed the unit with cleaning chemicals from a tube trailing from the unit which will be placed inside a detergent bottle. A glasswasher with a rinse aid function (which aids drying) will feed the machine in the same way as the cleaning detergent. A water softener is something to consider purchasing with a glasswasher to aid cleaning results and to also prevent scale build up. Although you will be paying out more money initially by purchasing a water softener you will be saving money in the long run as your glasses will come out cleaner and your Glasswasher will also benefit by reduced scale buildup and therefore cutting down on maintenance costs and breakdown frequency.
