While cooked foods should be heated to 140 degrees F, foods such as dairy products that need chilled, should be so at temperatures of less than 40 degrees F. Knowing this, you probably agree that it is an important cooking suggestion to keep your kitchen stocked with items that help you make dishes quickly and efficiently. This includes a good set of knives, pots, pans and measuring cups so you might also want to invest in a nice blender and food processor. Cooking Healthily Many people believe that low fat food is automatically tasteless. Many low fat foods, however, are full of the kind of vibrancy and taste that their counterparts have. The trick is to use a variety of fresh spices, herbs, olive oil and put some thought into the dishes you choose. Changing your meats to chicken, turkey or fish will save you both fat content and calorie content. Beverage Selection One of the best cooking suggestions you can get is to remember that you need a great beverage to go along with your meal. You can enhance almost any meal by accompanying it with a superb beverage. Flavored mineral water, a perfectly aged wine, or a cocktail, it is easy to make a plain meal taste great.
